Experience the legacy of Van Dyks, a cherished Kiwi establishment proudly serving the Waikato and Bay of Plenty for half a century. What began as a dream for Ali and Joe Van Dyk, originally from the Netherlands, blossomed into a beloved local gem with its roots in Putaruru, formerly known as Rex Mora Furnishers.

The family-owned enterprise has flourished, evolving to offer a diverse range of quality furniture, beds, flooring, and now, an exciting addition of bicycles. With a dedicated team exceeding one hundred passionate individuals, they uphold a tradition of exceptional customer care, fuelled by their profound understanding and commitment to the brands they endorse. And the proof is in the pudding as they prepare to open a brand-new space in Matamata this August.

“Van Dyks has had a relationship with Hawthorne for around 4-5 years and what sets them apart is their unique products which are different to many other furniture brands in the country. Hawthorne has always been a pleasure to deal with, they support Van Dyks by seeking opportunities to work closely with us and breaking through the market with trending furniture designs.” Simone -Van Dyks General Manager – Living.

Van Dyks Favourite Hawthorne pieces: Lotus sofa with chaise, is sophisticated and beautiful. We love the timeless look and comfort that envelops you like a warm cozy hug. With interchangeable slip covers the Lotus has endless styling potential. Of course, the classic Reid Armchair - a statement piece in all its glory. Hand-dyed leather, strapped back and brass buckles, this armchair leaves a lasting impression. We love how versatile it is as an occasional chair or the perfect spot to read by the window on a beautiful winter’s day.
